Anis Mahfoud Tax Corporate Lawyer 2013

Anis Mahfoud is a partner at Abouakil, Benjelloun & Mahfoud Avocats Associés, in charge of the tax and legal practices. Anis has over 13 years' experience representing and advising many leading US and European companies acting in Morocco and Libya in all phases of their tax and legal investment structuring and implementation. His practice focuses on the tax, corporate and legal structuring of foreign investments in Morocco and Libya, cross-border taxation, foreign transfer regulations, management of the tax inspection, M&A and tax litigation.

Anis Mahfoud advises companies such as Sanofi, Cisco, 3M, Procter & Gamble, DELL, Marionnaud, Geocean (Vinci Group), IBM, Brink's, Banyan Tree, Roca, Cummins and Beachcomber Hotels, etc.

Previously, Anis was a lawyer with Mazars and joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 2001 to 2009 as senior tax and legal manager in charge of Morocco and Libya. Since 2008, Anis has been a World Bank international consultant for Morocco and Libya in relation with the corporate and tax reform programmes developed by the World Bank in these countries.

Anis teaches Moroccan and international taxation at the University of Quebec A Chicoutoumi - ESIG Casablanca. He is member of the Alliance of Business Lawyers (ABL) and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Anis Mahfoud holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in insurance law (University of Casablanca) and is registered with the Bar Association of Casablanca.

He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
